Participating in the academic research salon sponsored by Urbanism and Architecture: "Architecture: structure expression and technology presentation" and make keynote speech.  This activity is held in the Red Building Lecture Hall of School of Architecture, South China University of Technology and convened and hosted by Professor Xiao Yiqiang, vice chairman of School of Architecture, South China University of Technology. 

In our architectural education, there always exists the problem that structure, construction and architectural design are taught separately, thus resulting that the form of architecture do not involve structure, construction and materials. Since "construction" becomes a trend in recent years, the surface presentation features resulting from construction is pursued as a new "form" in the design circle. However, "surface" is to express the architectural content in nature. This salon invites industry experts and architects to discuss on relevant topics such as how to rebuild the architectural design and structure, construction and materials in education and practice; and how to understand the content of contemporary architecture conveyed by surface form, etc.
